7 Kids Culture

Urban kids are big in uniqueness.  To reach them we need to build a great kids culture that honors God. The key is to mold the heart of a child which speaks the following…

“I’m obedient to God. I know obedience brings blessings”

“I’m loved by God. I have a relationship with Him and I know that He is fond of me”

“I worship God passionately because I know my heart is created for Him”

“I work hard and will always do my best”

“I can connect with others courageously”

“I can serve people and pray for them whenever I can”

“I can build the Church”

Don’t The Bystander Effect

In ministry, notice that when the group grows bigger, the sense of ownership of problems around us diminish. This is due to the responsibilities being dispersed amongst greater number of people. And when people we are ministering to look different from others in appearance, the lesser chance of them being helped. That’s why a people purposed community always risk declining as they grow bigger.

In a children’s community, a leader need to take responsibility to lead and help the community reach people who look different from them. If leadership in children’s ministry succeed in sticking our heads out for kids, it’ll thrive as it grows and God will be glorified in the difference it makes.

So don’t! Don’t allow the bystander effect. Own it and be the children’s church!
