Encounter Stories in HopeKids

Last Saturday, I spoke to a great brother who have ever led a children’s ministry for 7 years. He’s a brother of great wisdom and humility and he took the chance to encourage me, expressing his honor of the team because of his knowledge and experience that what we do can be a thankless job.

We all learn that building a children’s ministry community is difficult. We also know that the sooner we know that there will be struggles, problems, disunity and sometimes warfare (spiritually and …. ya, physically) the better. Because then we can look forward to greater things.

Hearing ‘Encounter Stories’ is always a great thing from above. Reminders from God that He is at work and when we keep doing the connecting, the Lord will do the transforming.

Here’s some encounter stories from Sandy

Here’s Jon Tay’s testimony of his younger brother who’s in HopeKids.

One of our 2 year old boy’s mother (who’s also one of our young worker’s sister) is in the hospital. 2 days ago, she was involved in a car accident that took the life of the friend she’s with and for herself in great risk of being half paralysed. When we learned about it on Sunday, Deborah led all the children to pray for her recovery.

Today I received news that she’s walking again and is able to move the side of her body that was at risk. There’s still recovery to do, so we will keep praying and doing what Jesus do …which isn’t very easy but we know will become easier the more we trust Him to do it.

If God is not with us, what will become of us in doing His work. We can always count on encounter stories and great people around us because Jesus is more concern of this work than we can ever be.
